Which Star Wars Movie Do You Enjoy Watching The Most?

For a long time Star Wars fans didn’t have to really make a choice when it comes to their favorite Star Wars movie except maybe the odd argument between Jedi and Empire fans. The original Star Wars Episode IV was exempt from any kind of real criticism because it was the first of its kind and broke so many molds and set the bar for every single sci-fi movie that followed in its wake. There had been nothing quite like A New Hope before and some would argue that there’s been nothing quite like it ever since.

But with the release of the second trilogy of movies in the form of Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith we had what many would be hoped another set of movies that would make their mark on movie history. But that wasn’t how things worked out and instead we were left with groups of fans arguing about whether or not the new movies should ever have been made with elements of the movies like the death of Darth Maul, Jar Jar Binks and the wooden acting of both Jake Lloyd and Hayden Christiansen bringing widespread criticism from fans and movie critics alike. From the point of view of many people George Lucas had lost his way and simply didn’t understand his own universe anymore.

But are there any redeeming features of the new movies?

Even though I’m a fan of the original Star Wars trilogy there are still some amazing moments in the new movies once you dig past all the CGI nonsense and pointless scenes like the pod race on Tatooine. You have the duel between Obi Wan and Jango Fett on Kamino which was a real touch of Star Wars magic. The duel between Qui Gon Jinn, Obi Wan and Darth Maul also stands out as a combination of amazing movie making and a perfect score by John Williams.

The problem most fans have though is that they have to do this kind of digging around in the new movies to find moments of merit whereas with the original trilogy fans struggled to find which scene they loved the most (it’s the final duel between Vader and Luke in Jedi for reference).
